A graduate of the University of New Mexico. He was a quarterback in the 1982 Senior Bowl College All Star Game. Then participated as a quarterback in the NFL and USFL. Coaching college football at Arizona Western.

Since 2003, Roman is the President of the Sold Out Youth Foundation, with the mission of equipping the next generation for success without drugs and alcohol, and challenging middle, high school, and college students to reach their God given potential ! Since 2012 Roman has operated the Sold Out Student Alcohol / Drug Abstinence and Character Education Program in five (5) states: California, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Arizona. Sold Out is a good news story coming out of the Covid Pandemic, pivoting to 100% online distance learning program bringing internet and device friendly curriculum to schools year round. A ground-breaking 365 Online interactive public, private, and home school programs using sports, entertainment, and education through school internet technology to deliver a 100% student alcohol / drug abstinence accountable pledge, life skills training, and overall student fitness, health, and wellness initiatives. All interactive and available the way students like to be entertained and learn, through their phones visually. Roman is an established motivational speaker to schools, corporations, civic and faith organizations, youth and sports initiatives.

Roman has worked as a sports and entertainment film-maker, radio and TV host for the last 25 years years, since 2005 as the president of his own sports multimedia organization. “I consider myself a story teller, taking the fans behind the scenes, up close and personal with high impact athletes, entertainers, coaches, and other newsmakers. It’s not about the statistics and scores, but the stories of what makes these people who they are on and off the field.”

Since 1994 Roman began covering sports with organizations such as: ESPN, Fox Sports South, Sports Byline USA , American Family, Sports America Radio, and Sports Spectrum Magazine. Roman Gabriel and Sold Out have been pioneers in short, and long form media storytelling… telling the stories of high impact personalities.

Sold Out TV has produced award winning documentaries featuring Super Bowl Champions: Tony Dungy, Kurt Warner, David Tyree, and Reggie White, through the program “Sold Out on Super Sunday”. Broadcasted to millions on The Turner Network, Daystar, and the WORD Networks. Roman has covered the last 29 Super Bowls for multiple media outlets. He currently hosts The Roman Gabriel Radio Show and Podcast, heard on American Family Radio (10 years), Fox Sports Affiliates, and more.
